I'm astounded at the number of Freepers that don't understand this. Or the fact that without cuts to SS and Medicare we are left with only an increase in economy stifling tax increases and a prayer.

I don’t understand it. For all the tea party rhetoric around here, it seems that many just don’t want to face economic reality and truly reform government and its budget.

Less payments means a smaller system and thus, a smaller government. I thought that’s what we were in favor of here.
