The status quo was once conservative, but it keeps shifting Left now due to the work of activist Democrats in government. Republicans don't seem to know how to shift it back Right again - only to slow or stop the shift for a time.
I'd stay away from him just on that basis.
And again, I don't know the guy, never heard of him, and I'm pretty sure he is not involved in anything Conservative.
“I’m not sure RINO is the right term for these guys. They are actual Republicans, but it’s the party’s long-standing governing philosophy of maintaining the status quo at all costs that is the problem.”
I could not agree more. The very term ‘RINO’ is misleading. The problem is inherent within the institution. People like Reagan and Goldwater were anomalies within the GOP establishment, and bitterly resented by it.
Conservatives and newly awakened Tea Party people will see just how stubborn, ruthless, underhanded and effective the GOP can be in the next 18 months, as its principal goal emerges of co-opting, neutralizing or destroying conservative resurgence and restoration efforts.
