I particularly like one of Lifsons predictions:
“Incoming Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie will back down from his pledge to publish the long form birth certificate of Barack Obama, citing privacy issues. In an unrelated matter, Hawaii will be awarded the lion’s share of the remaining unspent stimulus funds.”

I predict the following for 2011:
- The Republican Congress will deeply disappoint us Tea Party types, when they go back to "reaching across the aisle" (which really means giving Dems a reach-around), playing musical committee chairs, bedding K-street lobbyist whores, and other DC follies, instead of doing the people's business.
- Consistent with my first prediction, Obamacare will not only not be overturned, it will actually receive MORE funding.
- The Senate's long-standing filibuster rules will be overturned by Democrats, with the help of RINOs who feel sorry for them.
- Sarah Palin will announce her intention to seek the Republican nomination for the Presidency on Ronald Reagan's birthday. The media's demonization of her this year will exceed anything we've seen yet, and will include outright incitement of her murder in major dailies and cable shows, and multiple false witnesses of financial fraud. A serious, credible attempt on her life, perhaps with a flesh wound, would not surprise me in the least. Of course, it will only make her more determined.
- The ATF's Office of General Counsel (who is really running the agency), in a bid to keep themselves relevant and keep Obama from splitting their jurisdiction off to the IRS, FDA, and FBI (respectively) will step up harassment of gun dealers and owners to a level we haven't seen since Waco or Randy Weaver. Citizens will be attacked in the dead of night by jack-booted, black-clad ATF agents, over 1/8" barrel lengths or supposed conversions of Ruger 10/22s into machine guns. However, the outcome will be different this time: dozens of dead agents and explosions rocking the innocent citizens' neighborhood. This event will be followed by the "accidental" deaths (well, that's how the media will report it) of scores of armed ATF, FBI, Treasury and IRS agents, many of whom will be found dead in the shower or on a jogging path. The FedGov will get the message that sovereign citizens of the US will not take any more jack-booted thuggery from these alphabet agencies, and they will back off. For now.
- The Washington Post and the NYT will begin agitating for the FCC to use its new-found power to regulate the internet. Specifically, the WaPo and the NYT will want the FCC to "crack down" on "domestic terror cells" on the Internet. By this, they mean FR and other conservative forums.
- The price of a gallon of gasoline will exceed $5.50 per gallon in the West by summer, and diesel will be even more. This will cause the wholesale bankruptcy of hundreds of overland trucking companies and owner-operators, many of whom will just drop their loads where they are because they won't be paid enough to buy diesel. There will be minor riots to buy food because of shortages brought on by the failure of road transport. The well-prepared should stock up now.

Congress will de-fund NPR, shut down the FCC and eviscerate the budget for the EPA and the United Nations. The new year brings out a bit of optimism.
