I think of the Constitution now as a fig leaf. It provides a tiny bit of cover for the state-ist to point to and say "see we did everything by the book!"
SCOTUS is the weakest and least effective branch of govt. It has consistently let us down when we needed it. Especially in 30's, 60's and now.
They did it to Washington and Oregon.

I left a Christmas party when two people started talking about how Jerry Brown was on the way to save them — they were both teachers, of course!

Back then the state had no money, no one had electricity, there were gunfights in the streets, and most people spoke only Spanish.

I can attest to the beauty and wonder of CA. Last spring I worked an outage at Diablo Canyon Nuke Plant on the Central Ca coast, how breath taking the ocean and mountains and the smell of orange and lemon blossoms in the morning air.
I was enchanted, but the taxes are horrific, I am working at a Nuke in TN now with no state taxes, same salary, but the take home difference is astonishing.
Liberalism in all its disgusting forms destroyed California.
When I lived there in the 1970’s and 1980’s, it was paradise.

This has already happened in Oregon. They have become another California. What Oregonians need to do is look at California and they’ll see their future.
I disagree. Government didn’t kill California. The people killed California. The people deserve the government they choose. They chose wrongly.
And don’t even think about coming to Georgia you Californicommunists, we are becoming an even redder red state.
