The law is written for the state, by the state, not the people.
Using that logic, gassing the Jews was not murder.
Murder is still murder, regardless of what any given law says.
And the world will recognize that once we get past this horrifically evil era in America, which we will after our generation dies off.

Almost without exception all European police forces obeyed and participated in German Nazi round up of their own citizens. In Germany the first Nazi concentration camp was set up and run by the Berlin Chief of Police.
I am unaware, ever, of any organized Police protest, ever, against any good, bad or indifferent law. If the ink, smeared on wood pulp is describe as ‘law’ and orders people into camps, ditches whatever, the police as an institution will obey, even though in fact they are but fellow citizens with powers derived from their fellow citizens.
