HONOLULU, Hawaii -- After failing to get climate-change legislation through Congress, the Obama administration plans on pushing through its environmental policies through other means, and Republicans are ready to put up a fight.
On Jan. 2, new carbon emissions limits will be put forward as the Environmental Protection Agency prepares regulations that would force companies to get permits to release greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act.
Critics say the new rules are a backdoor effort to enact the president's agenda on global warming without the support of Congress, and would hurt the economy and put jobs in jeopardy by forcing companies to pay for expensive new equipment.
"They are job killers. Regulations, period -- any kind of regulation is a weight on economy. It requires people to comply with the law, which takes work hours and time, which reduces the profitability of firms. Therefore, they grow more slowly and you create less jobs," said environmental scientist Ken Green of the conservative American Enterprise Institute.

The idea was that our founders never anticipated the cause and effect of a two party system and it's influence on the breach of power balance between the legislative and executive branches. It was a very good point.
Instead of debating legislative issues among legislators, they get triangulated by an executive branch which spends it's time bribing one of the parties to gain it's favor.
The more interesting point was that the argument was tilting toward the tea party being a healthy shift in that problem. This was admitted by the president of the law school where the debate was taking place. She claimed that both parties need to be fractured from house leadership and that the public needs to hold their legislators to do their business, not some "power hungry corrupt kook" from one district in one state.
No more careful consideration. Do what Churchill did: fight, fight, fight.

Even if it really was diminishing in the poles and on high mountain ranges, it doesn’t mean shit. Data shows that rising oceans are the least of the worlds problems. Deranged alarmism is Gore and Co.’s bread and butter.
Restoring science to its rightful place, in the hands of the government sanctioned shaman reading the entrails of a Gore...
I expect the new group of House Republicans to throw a massive monkey wrench in the “business” (if you can call it that) of government in this and other areas of self-destructive behavior. If not, they will be replaced with those who will. There is no compromise here. There is no “bipartisanship” here. There is right and wrong.
Agreed. America is now nothing more than a land mass populated by cretins and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors and redistribute it to them. It is not an America worth defending anymore. Theres no point hanging onto the past. America had a great run. Remember it fondly for what it was.
The parasites outnumber the hosts now, and theres no going back. Throw some cold water in your face and figure out how to grab every government dime you possibly can before the Democrat base of parasites gobbles it all up.
Whatever. I just live here.
Every man for himself.
