After seeing your post, I was inspired to watch again a portion of the interview with Yuri Bezmenov. One thing that jumped out:

>>> No they serve purpose only [up] to the stage of destabilization of a nation. For example, your leftists in [the] United States; all these professors and all these beautiful civil rights defenders. They are instrumental in the process of the subversion; only to destabilize a nation. When the job is completed, they are not needed anymore. They know too much. Some of them, when they get disillusioned - when they see that Marxist-Leninist come to power. Obviously they get offended; they think that THEY will come to power. That will never happen, of course; they will be lined up against the wall and shot. But they may turn into the most bitter enemies of Marxist-Leninists when they come to power; <<<

Today, these are the leftist ideologs who spent the last 30 years in goverment and academia, dismantling (destabilizing) our Constitution and the moral foundations of society. This is the hippy generation - the first wave of baby boomers. Note the timing: it is this generation that has now come into retirement age... the age at which the quality and accessibility of healthcare becomes paramount.

Now that the destabilization phase is complete, these aging hippies have become useless feeders. Obamacare (denialcare, death panels) is the modern-day passive-aggressive equivalent of "lined up against the wall and shot."

Yep.

And the desire to relive their 60's "Glory Days" was a significant element in manufacturing support for the facade of Cloward/Pivenesque "Hope and Change".

Here's a local example - who likes to show up and heckle Tea Party events...

"Cynical, ego-centric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie.  This are the most recruitable people; people who lack moral principals - who are either too greedy or too, uh, suffer from self-importance, uh, they feel that they matter a lot.  Uh, these are the people who KGB wanted very much to recruit.  "
