I guess the more important question is this: Is Redemption possible, or is a man to be forever branded by his past?

Vick has accepted Jesus as Lord... According to the Word, Vick is a new creation--old things have passed away...all things become new.

Either this is true or it isn't.

He can “accepted Jesus as Lord” till the cows come home.

At the end of the day, the question is: would you trust the guy working around your family?

That is your prerogative....however, history has shown that psychopaths rarely change.

It is true but it is hard for men to forgive and forget. Vick needs to prove to God that he has changed for the better and to become an example of his conversion. From a mere human's standpoint, so far, I haven't heard anything bad about him (faking it, falling off the wagon, etc...) since his conviction.
