I won’t lambaste Michael Vick just because the President is supporting him. What Vick did was horrible, but he served his time and went through public scrutiny for everything he did. He owned up and took his sentence. Who are we to say ANYTHING about a man that made a mistake. We’re not perfect and never will be, what makes a person is the ability to learn from his/her mistakes. Vick has been nothing but professional and humble since being freed. He deserves a second chance just like any of you would.

What Vick did to those dogs, he’d do to humans if he had the chance.

So torturing and killing a dog after they lost a fight is a "mistake"?

That's true, but only those of us who can run a 4.3 forty and put a football in a receiver's hands at sixty yards are likely to get it.

I'm a former Eagles fan who no longer roots for them but still follows them closely. I strongly disagree with your characterization of Vick as being "humble." For example, read what Vick said after the Eagles made him the team recipient for The Ed Block Award for Courage last December:

"I've overcome a lot, more than probably one single individual can handle or bear," Vick said. "You ask certain people to walk through my shoes, they probably couldn't do. Probably 95 percent of the people in this world because nobody had to endure what I've been through" "You have to be strong, believe in yourself, be optimistic. That's what I've been able to do. That's what I display."

I've been watching Vick real closely since he's come back and I honestly don't get a genuine sense of humility. But then again its not for me to judge Mike Vick as a man, but it is my choice whom I will root for and that certainly will never again be the Eagles as long as Jeffrey Lurie & Joe Banner are running the show.
