Yes I told the better half I wanted a pair. Yes they are a rare little find. Like the other early Detonics they are really handmade pistols, with all the little problems that can come with that. But I still love my CombatMaster. Dont trust it as much as my SIG but still is a great auto that can be used as a BUG in an ankle holster thanks to the grip being cut down so much
It is purty... & really heavy. took it out in the back 40 yesterday pretty accurate little beast at ranges between 21 & 50 feet didnt shoot beyond that with it. will say it is one heavy little beast & the return spring is one heavy little monster it is a b%^$h to rack the slide.
There is really no reason to use it beyond those distances anyway.
Its a shame classic arms are so heavy.
It sure sounds fresh. “Last of the year” and such. I’m a bit surprised, but what the heck, it sounds fresh in spots.
Well guys hope ya all had a great Christmas, Have to run, taking the Grandkids out to dinner. Chat with ya all next week.
That is one sweet piece. I’m liking that one.
Are y’all open for a couple handgun questions from a nOOb?
Tenacious little Kiwi!
Shoot!
I don’t know if we’ll have the answer.
Bon Appetite!
Howdy Dave.
Do any of y’all use electronic earmuffs? Something like this.

I shouldn’t be surprised.
I went to the shop today and it was open and being run single handedly by the OWNER.
He gave the help time off but he was there LoL!
I do sometimes.
They work great, and the batterys last a Long time.
10-4, thanks mylife.
I bought a cheapy pair like 5 years ago.
I thing I changed the batterys once in all that time.
For a minute there, I thought that was a head shot of one of the bounty hunters on Star Wars!
>> Shoot!
Somehow I *knew* you’d say that. :-)
Background: Mrs. Tick and I are not yet handgun owners, but we have talked about it and discussed getting our CCL, so far without action.
So yesterday we were with our country cousins who definitely ARE pistol packers. Mrs. Tick’s cousin has a new Taurus Model M85 Ultra Lite Titanium. She fairly gushed over how much she likes it. Carries it in her purse. Surprise of surprises, Mrs. Tick likes it too and now expresses real interest in having and carrying one and working on her CCL.
I’m thinking about striking while the iron is hot, and just getting one of these things (since I *know* she’ll like it and I won’t have to *sell* her on the bennies of having it and learning to use it).
I have researched it some this evening; I am aware that the Taurus is no S&W, it is what it is.
So the question is, all things considered with our situation, is this a poor choice of weapon for a new female pistol owner to carry?
If so, what alternative?
I’m pretty sure we’re going to go with a revolver for her.
Fire away!
Thanks and FRegards
