I understand that children born to foreign diplomats and others like that do not automatically become citizens. Maybe, using that as an example, they can do the same to illegals.

But it also could further hurt the GOP in its endeavor to grab a large enough share of the growing Latino vote . . .
The "growing Latino vote" will only get larger if the Pubbies allow amnesty in any form, and they ain't a'gonna vote anything but Democrat if they do get it.

Children born to parents who owe their allegiance to the U.S. are citizens. There is no law that grants citizenship to children of illegals, it is only a policy of the government. A policy that could be revoked with a simple vote of congress.
