Dozens of armed men attacked the church on Christmas Eve, dragging the pastor out of his home and shooting him to death. Two young men from the choir rehearsing for a late-night carol service also were slain.
The group of about 30 attackers armed with guns and knives also killed two people passing by Victory Baptist Church. The assailants only left after setting the church and pastor's house ablaze.
"I cannot understand these attacks," Akawu said. "Why Christians? Why Christians? The police have failed to protect us."

Muslim Terrorists do not disagree with moderate Muslims on their objectives - just on tactics.
One. It is called Islam. Not all members are radicals, but by not speaking out they are all as culpable as the bomb builder or suicide bomber.
Everyone posting on this thread thus far has nailed it and the aiders and abetters in the media know that it’s ISLAM that is the root cause for this violence, yet they can not tell the truth. Somehow, some way we have to find a way to cut off their revenues and let them strangle in their own filth. Sorry, i know i am preaching to the choir, i am just fuming at the level of hostility to truth by the lamestream media.
If it were not for oil exports, they would all still be living quietly and invisibly in mud huts and tents. We need American oil and Nuclear power to defund these sub-humans.

The group blamed for the church attacks — the radical Muslim sect known as Boko Haram — used to be based in Bauchi, about 75 miles (120 kilometers) from the area where the bombs went off. The group is now headquartered in Maiduguri, where the church attacks took place.
