The Tea Party Express is pleased to announce that we have agreed to partner with CNN to host the first-ever Tea Party Presidential Debate for GOP candidates for president.

This is a huge victory for the tea party movement as we will not only hold Republican candidates accountable for supporting tea party principles of limited government, but it also helps build further momentum for the tea party movement in getting our message heard to more and more people.

We will be full partners with CNN, jointly making decisions with them about the debate, and we will ensure that this debate reflects tea party principles, and we appreciate the opportunity to have those values represented over the airwaves of CNN.  ...We continue to expand our reach, and we couldn't be more thrilled.

There will be satellite areas around the country with CNN cameras that the debate will cut off to to get questions from tea party people across the country

There will be a CNN cameraman, probably from one of the local network stations, who will be there.

And part of the good news is that Free Republic can choose to have a debate watching event.

Several satellite venues will be selected—depending on the crowd size and importance of the venue.

Best venue for FR to use would be one of the early primary states, such as Iowa or New Hampshire etc.

I can’t help but LOL about this. CNN has trashed the Tea Party movement constantly since it began, and it must stick in their craw to have to admit the movement is a serious one. I love it!!

It remains to be seen how serious CNN will be with their coverage of the debate.
