CNN and Tea Party Express to host first-of-its-kind Tea Party presidential primary debate

Washington (CNN) – CNN is teaming up with the Tea Party Express for a first-of-its-kind presidential primary debate, both organizations announced Friday. The Tea Party debate, featuring 2012 Republican presidential candidates, is scheduled for Labor Day week 2011. It will take place in Tampa, Florida – the site of the 2012 Republican National Convention.

Since the spring of 2009, the Tea Party movement has been increasingly vocal in advocating for less government spending, lower taxes and shrinking the deficit. The Tea Party debate will place specific emphasis on those issues.

Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer talked to CNN about what activists hope to hear from Republican presidential candidates. "We want to hear what their ideas are – what their thoughts are – on turning this economy back around and getting us on a sound economic footing, paying down some of our deficit, getting a balanced budget, and reining in the spending," Kremer said.

OK, Pete

Stay at your computer and watch it unfold.

TPX will be going into the Belly of the Beast

It's never easy and takes a lot of courage, stamina and political awareness.

CNN and their liberal overlords will get a two-fer in this hit job:

1. The Tea Party
2. The participating GOP candidates

First of all, they can't destroy the tea party. It's too big for them to do that, is is comprised of tens of millions of individuals, not TPX.

Epic fail there, the TPM is the aforementioned millions of Patriotic Citizens of the USA.

There has been a concentrated effort to destroy and make ineffective The Tea Party Express, even some of it by "mainstream" Tea Party organizations who want to be seen as the orgs and individuals that are the leaders of the TPM.

The candidates are on their own, TPX will be there to do all they can to make it a fair debate.

So you’re saying the TPX didn’t get anything in writing from CNN?

Well, I can't disagree with you to very much of a degree.

I will admit that one of the reasons that I said that is because her voice shatters my brain because of it's pitch and octave. (I have interesting hearing issues lol)

Also her liberal side comes out sometimes and so IMO I would still trade her for Coulter.

I do like Gretta, she has some down to earth qualities. And her shift towards conservatism has been a remarkable thing to watch.

I let the Tea Party Express know what I thought of them ‘partnering’ with CNN,—who called the Tea Party the vulgar homosexual term ‘teabaggers’, reported when almost 2 million people showed up on 9-12 that ‘tens of dozens’ of people were there......and let them know I will never give another penny and unsubscribed from the Tea Party Express email...

I know what arguments I’ve had to develop to get family and friend dems to stop viewing the TP as kitten-stomping grinches.

Are there any new approaches in embryo to take the argument nation-wide? We could use them now, in advance, before the zombies tune in to that RAT network, so we can work on our cases.

After about 50 posts here, meadsjn develops the Silver Town (Outlaw Josie Wales) analogy to explain to the average brainwashed dem what the Tea Party is really trying to accomplish:

You didn’t answer my questions so I’ll repeat them once again:

You are mighty impatient.

Your first question was immature and augmentative, so I wrote you off as an agitator.

Then you asked some serious questions, which I answered.

Not soon enough for you though.

I started this thread and am going through the replies as they came in, and didn't get to yours quick enough apparently.

If you want to donate a couple of hundred bucks to FR, I will seek out your posts and reply to all of them and get the others in the order they appear after that. OK?

Her weakness seems to be she likes the Clinton’s, but she likes the Palin family a lot as well. I didn’t know until I read Bristol Palin’s Facebook last night that Greta’s husband was also along on the trip to Haiti, now THAT I found very interesting to note.

After my last back and forth with you, I am going to give your loaded and biased questions and comments short shrift here.
Since the spring of 2009, the Tea Party movement has been increasingly vocal in advocating for less government spending, lower taxes and shrinking the deficit. The Tea Party debate will place specific emphasis on those issues.

Ah. The things the Republicans like to talk about and campaign on but never actually do.

So? Like that is a big secret.

This is about TPX doing something to rectify that.

The "Tea Party Express," of course, being a Republican group...

There you go again. You are being a real ass with your lying pronouncements.

Your next statement, too may quote marks to make sense out of it. Don't try to clarify thanks.

If TPX trusts CNN in any situation then they are too stupid to be taken seriously.

The Tea Party and its efforts are fantastic.

The “Tea Party Express” is not. Take a good look at who is behind it and you will find a lot of people out for themselves who could care **** (redacted, I wouldn't hold in my hand what just came out of your mouth) for the Tea Party and its ideals.

I did take a look at who is behind it, and you are totally wrong. But you knew that.

The Tea Party and the Tea Party Express are two, completely different things

Well, duh that is quite clear glad you noticed. But the TPX is the most influential of all the Tea Party groups, and the most effective.

This whole thing is way beyond your comprehension, take some classes in political awareness.

They are available at The Institute of Phenomonology. Ask for Dr. Zoo.

featuring 2012 Republican presidential candidates

Why not a Tea Party debate for the Democrat candidates too? And why not also the final two candidates Democrat vs Republican?
