Washington (CNN) CNN is teaming up with the Tea Party Express for a first-of-its-kind presidential primary debate, both organizations announced Friday. The Tea Party debate, featuring 2012 Republican presidential candidates, is scheduled for Labor Day week 2011. It will take place in Tampa, Florida the site of the 2012 Republican National Convention.
Since the spring of 2009, the Tea Party movement has been increasingly vocal in advocating for less government spending, lower taxes and shrinking the deficit. The Tea Party debate will place specific emphasis on those issues.
Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer talked to CNN about what activists hope to hear from Republican presidential candidates. "We want to hear what their ideas are what their thoughts are on turning this economy back around and getting us on a sound economic footing, paying down some of our deficit, getting a balanced budget, and reining in the spending," Kremer said.

Who in the hell is Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer?
And who put her in charge?
So we can re-amorphosize.
Far be it from any Freeper to place a negative roadblock on your way to the home of sweetness and light. PS...you might want to stock up on Clorox to wipe up afterwords. Have a safe trip Bambi...
Thanks for the answer.
Please make sure the TPX takes the proper steps to defend themselves from:
1. CNN
2. Sam Feist at CNN
3. Biased moderators
4. Biased questions
5. Democrat and RINO plants in the audience
Karl Rove and his RINOS as well the RATS will be working with Sam Feist and CNN to take out the Tea Party at this event.
Be overprepared.
The Tea Party and CNN.
Count me out.
How can anyone involved with the Tea Party be this STUPID.
CNN.... the communist lions den.LOL, no it tastes like Dragon!I hear the TPE tastes like chicken.
I think the fiery breath will cool off anyone that wants a bite of it.
: > )
Just who will they debate...a debate is supposed to be with an opponent and CNN is supposed to be a news organization and not a political candidate/opponent.
This is a lose, lose...what suckers.
In August of 2009, Amy joined the Tea Party Express bus tour and traveled across the country. After the first Tea Party Express tour, Amy was thrilled to be asked to be a part of the second Tea Party Express tour. Earlier this year, Amy joined the Tea Party Express PAC as the Director of Grassroots and Coalitions. In her position of Director, Grassroots and Coalitions, Amy is working with other organizations and individual activists across the country to build the grassroots movement.
I put the tagline in for people like you to go apalectic over. Probably spilled wrong, but that is my style at Free Republic.
All I wanted was to understand and get some feedback from intelligent well informed people that post here at FR. All I ran into was this weird pompous ass that has obvious shortcomings when it comes to self expression, communication skills and civil demeanor. That being said, I have better things to do. Thanks for your post.

Yor a reel jerke! LOL
This announcement went over like a GD condom in a collection plate.
But you knew that?
(headshsking to self: why on earth would we give the enemy all this target?)
Scardy cat.
I reflect the attitudes of the posts to me and give as I get.
I think reasonable people understand that.
>> Do you realize that your arrogant and insulting responses are doing nothing but confirming the fears many of us have had all along about orgs like TPX?
Relax. TPX will walk away unscathed.
That's a huge captive audience during a busy travel week.
I can see how others would rather not trust CNN, but they do reach a lot of non-Fox fans. Just keep them on a short leash.
That is as it has been from the beginning. Many "tea party" orgs have tried to take TPX down so that the others may achieve "leadership" status. The Tea Party is ripe for a takeover and you know they will try.
BEWARE PEOPLE!
Tea Party Express is a different sort of entity.
But also the TPM has been attacked from all sides, with Gingrich Steele and many others changing from trying to destroy it to putting their fingers to the wind and realizing that they had to do the faux "I'm a tea party supporter" thingie but we are on to them.
Thanks for that information Jimbo, much appreciated!
Relax. TPX will walk away unscathed.
Whew.
Let’s hope the initiative is more organized and sophisticated in the future to win over RAT hearts and minds on CNN than it was here on FR tonight.
Thanks a lot, Deport!
