CNN and Tea Party Express to host first-of-its-kind Tea Party presidential primary debate

Washington (CNN) – CNN is teaming up with the Tea Party Express for a first-of-its-kind presidential primary debate, both organizations announced Friday. The Tea Party debate, featuring 2012 Republican presidential candidates, is scheduled for Labor Day week 2011. It will take place in Tampa, Florida – the site of the 2012 Republican National Convention.

Since the spring of 2009, the Tea Party movement has been increasingly vocal in advocating for less government spending, lower taxes and shrinking the deficit. The Tea Party debate will place specific emphasis on those issues.

Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer talked to CNN about what activists hope to hear from Republican presidential candidates. "We want to hear what their ideas are – what their thoughts are – on turning this economy back around and getting us on a sound economic footing, paying down some of our deficit, getting a balanced budget, and reining in the spending," Kremer said.

Same Feist Flashback: CNN’s Performance Was Unacceptable. There Should Be A Do Over of This Debate.

CNN’s pre-debate spin was that

This would be a Republican debate, and the goal was to let Republican voters see their candidates.

This debate was not about Republicans asking the Republican candidates questions. This was about CNN abusing its position to push a Democratic agenda.

This has all the markings of a set up and heads should roll at CNN.

THE GOP RINOS THEMSELVES ARE TRYING TO TAKE CREDIT FOR THE TEA PARTY!!!!! The VERY TARGETS of the TP! I guess I’m just not getting this. To engage CNN implies a TEA PARTY LEADER negotiating and I thought that was exactly the TP was not, but amorphous. Maybe you can explain this engagement?

Maybe I wasn’t clear enough. These are my thoughts also. I always though these TPs were town to town, state to state groups...no ‘leaders’ as such. I always thought the leftist would try to take it over but you are correct in that the GOP RINOs are just as capable.

(where is CNN going to find non-biased, non-snarky journalists?)

That's the job of TPX.

It really sounds like it’s amateur hour at the TPX on their deal with Sam Feist at CNN.

Didn’t get anything in writing from Feist on the moderators and questions. Nothing in writing from Feist that the audience members won’t be democrat plants.

Amateur hour for sure.

If we’re going to be dragged into this lions’ den a year from now, and it looks like we are, we need to get sharpening the knives today.

Every CNN broadcast, web posting, etc needs to be re-viewed through this development... but not directly.

FReepers got to figure out a way to monitor that commie bitch network’s designs on the TP without giving them a single click or view, which is what CNN is telling the bank it’s gonna have when they ask for mo’ money.

What lies they weave when they set out to deceive.

“Nope, just a good line for a reply to a wonked out poster.”

Dude, you have serious mental issues.

What with you post with the smiley;
“Quoting a great actor from a great movie” Ah yes, a great actor and liberal Hollywood hack.

One of your heros(sic) I presume? ;-)

Nicholson is a great actor no matter his politics.

Take two xanax and call me in the morning...:>)

Thank you very much for your non-response response.

No problem.

That's how I respond to someone that puts words in my mouth and spins things in my replies to fit an agenda.

You wanted me to answer questions you posed to others.

If you can't get the answers from them, maybe they are on to your agenda too.

I was replying in kind to your insulting post.

It was not positive, postulating that the TPX couldn't handle the poofters at cnn.

I think they can.

What is your problem pal? All you do on this thread is disparage people and act like freaking clown. I know you think you are superior to everyone else but you are the only one that thinks that, I assure you. Now go play in the street or something equally foolish and bugger off fool. Sheeeze, what an ass.

Why not a Tea Party debate for the Democrat candidates too? And why not also the final two candidates Democrat vs Republican?

Excellent idea!

Perhaps you can work on getting something like that in the works?

Who in the hell is Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer?

I wasn't saying you didn't donate to FR.

You seemed so anxious for answers to you posts that I thought I would make an offer to answer yours first.

To answer your question, I don't know.

I just posted the thread.

Please leave this to the professionals.

This whole thing is way beyond your comprehension...

Hmmmmmmmm....

What, are you imitating a vibrator with your last two posts to me?

Yea, that was my answer to an agitator who posted false information.

Want to gang up on me with her/him?

LOL

on turning this economy back around and getting us on a sound economic footing, paying down some of our deficit, getting a balanced budget, and reining in the spending," Kremer said.

For starters...how about taking 0's checkbook away...no more expensive frivolous trips. That would just about fix the budget.

Synchro drives the TPX bus, literally, so, yeah, a lot of us are in shock over this new TPX mission.

Not that the TPX needs to defend itself, but this announcement and subsequent harrangement could use a little more positivity in its introduction.

What syncro thinks are panty-waisted lily-livers at CNN are the representatives of the globalists who are trying to evacuate America of Americans so they can move in.

A good leader pulls, not pushes. If we’re going to challenge and change the rat’s worldview of the TP and US fiscal sanity, we need a cognitive plan, not just a painted target.

Not shoot, aim, target which this engagement seems to imply.

Don’t let the naysayers get you down.

Thanks for the positive input, deport.

It's going to be the most interesting election cycle in recent history, if not in all history!

The nattering nabobs of negativity don't bother me, they are like mice to a cat lol
