I highly doubt the front group known as the Westboro "Baptist" "Church" will protest such an event. We never see them protest any events where there are living gay people, after all.
I don’t understand his ideology of subject matter vs. choice of protest place.

Your right seems if he wanted to protest sexual perverse acts he would be at the SF Gay Sex in the Streets and other acts of lewdness go on.
Westboro Baptist’s protests have an ulterior motive if they are indeed a leftist front group.
Maybe they are designed to pave the way for a “gay” military by uniting vets and soldiers with gay activists-liberals who show up to protest Westboro.
Otherwise, Westboro is just a bunch of insane wackos.
