wrong for conservatives to engage in gratuitously hateful and cruel language directed toward gay people

Again...the homosexual lobby, community, and individuals are telling us and our children(thru government and civic institutions)that their behavior is normal and natural.

They show their vile displays of sexuality (billed as "pride") with parades, "fairs", TV, movies, music, etc.

And then expect to shown respect? Did they expect there would be no pushback to their offensive behavior? Whether that pushback comes form a small board like FR with politically incorrect speech, or with political muscle...who are you or they to preach to us what we can or cannot say? And where are these homosexuals who suddenly and supposedly want nothing to do with their own "communities" goals?

There is nothing easier than telling the guy you just beat over the head (for decades now) with "gratuitous" and graphic displays of sexuality and accused of homophobia, hatred, bigotry, religious zelotry....that he should forget the depths you plumbed to do so.

Again, I rather agree with you about the "lobby", but I'm certain that a (quiet) majority of gay people would prefer to have nothing to do with the obnoxious politicization of their sexual preference. The people who participate in such public perversity are a small but vocal minority who get enormous publicity because they are being used by the much larger Progressive lobby for their own purposes.

In a free country, offensive public behavior is fair game for commentary and perhaps, prosecution. But private, voluntary, consensual behavior is not. Just don't ask me to approve of it, or deny that it is morally abject and, please: keep it out of my face. I don't know; we used to be smarter about stuff like this, but common sense is no longer all that common.
