Sheesh, Krauthammer isn't commenting on the merits of what Obama did with this deal. Krauthammer actually opposed the deal and thought it was bad. He's talking about how Obama helped himself politically with this deal. So essentially, Krauthammer is taking the GOP to task for handing Obama a victory.

Whether it was a good deal or not, I think Krauthammer's absolutely right that Obama is much better off politically now than he would have been had it failed. I don't even think that proposition is arguable, at least from a rational perspective.

Well, yes.... but apparently it's no longer acceptable to look at political topics objectively. Much better to judge what people say based on ad hominem or its opposite.
