Omaha Steaks Drops Glenn Beck
Omaha Steaks’ ads recently started running on Glenn Beck’s program on Fox News.
As with other advertisers, participants in the StopBeck effort reached out to Omaha Steaks. We kindly requested that they follow the responsible action of hundreds of other former advertisers and refrain from advertising on Glenn Beck’s show.
Well, your efforts paid off.
This morning, Omaha Steaks announced that they were removing their ads from Glenn Beck’s program (emphasis added):
Omaha Steaks buys large units of national television advertising during the holiday season. This year, we bought a package of advertising through the Fox Network. We did not specifically request to be included on the Glenn Beck program. As part of our contract, the Omaha Steaks ads run in a variety of time slots throughout the day.
We took your comments regarding the Glenn Beck Program to heart. After further review and careful consideration, we have decided to pull all advertising from Glenn Beck programming effective December 20th, 2010. Unfortunately, due to advertising cancellation policies, we were bound to continue possible ad placements through Sunday, December 19th.
At Omaha, we greatly value the loyalty and support of our customers, fans and followers and thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
Great work all! See, your tweets and messages really do matter.
Here we see another advertiser stepping up and taking the responsible action. Don’t dismiss these actions, they are important steps as we continue to gear up for our broader DropFox accountability effort.

The last time I bought Omaha steaks was in the airport in Omaha about 7 years ago when I was returning home to Atlanta. Haven’t purchased any since, and definitely in the future will not.
Funny, most liberals are vegans.
To bad. I will miss my Omaha Steaks, but, hey, Allen Brothers steaks are tasty too.
Someone brought up something interesting at ConservativeCave, they’re no longer going to advertise after 12/20, is that the deadline for shipping out orders? and that same person also brought up that many on the left are vegetarians, they don’t even eat meat.

I recieved a call the other day from Omaha Steaks. They said as a prefered customer they had a special deal for me. I said, “Now wait a minute. I placed one order for $40 5 years ago and I’m considered a prefered customer? Good thing I dont have stock with you”!
Over-priced! Shop Costco instead, they sell Beck and Palin books!
“Too bad” -—— I’m replaying Beck (with the Judge) from my DVR and there is an Omaha Steak commercial playing now.
I have actually been a customer... but I called them and told them that all three of my businesses are now off limits.

Why did they care what “StopBeck” was saying? Half, or more, are probably vegetarians anyway.

I’m hearing lots of Pat Boone Steaks commercials and 5% goes to feeding the hungry. If I were a premium steak buyer, I know which brand I’d invest in.
And the basement dwelling DU’ers, Kossacks and other moonbat groups who spammed the company with “Glen Beck is horrible, I’m never buying your meat again.”
They will enjoy the same success as Obama Motors, which now looks to Ford as the Leader.....people who actually PURCHASE goods with their OWN money are not going to be buying their product (as with GM and Chrysler).
I purchased their steaks once. Would not buy a second time. Far better meat quality in any of my local supermarkets, at less cost as well.
OMG! Customer Service just hung up on me.
