I think that having the wife of the doctor who had to take Lakin’s place in Afghanistan testify for the proscution at sentencing is “dirty pool.”

I guess in both cases it showed that Lakin's decision had consequences. For another officer it was another tour in the war zone. For Lakin, it was a couple of weeks in Hawaii or somewhere.

My hope is that Obama will pardon him.

So when Lakin goes to prison, is it common for men in Leavenworth to take a beating at the hands of other inmates? I dont know anything about Leavenworth. Do you think they will separate him from others for being a political prisoner?
