Whatever I might think about FDR in 1932 he was not only eligible for the office of the presidency but duly elected to that office as well.
Those that wanted to overthrow the Constitution that had sought out Butler, had every intention on keeping FDR on as a puppet president, it was the congress and the constitution they planned to get rid of.
