Former Godfathers Pizza CEO Herman Cain signaled on Fox News that he could start taking formal steps to run for president in 2012 in the near future.
We could be talking about an exploratory committee real soon, Cain, a Republican, told Fox News host Neil Cavuto.
When first asked by Cavuto if he plans to run for president, Cain, a favorite on the Tea Party circuit, repeated his often-used answer that hes still prayerfully considering a campaign.

Didn’t he come down with cancer a few years back? I hope he is healthy.
I am not going to make any pizza jokes. I promise.
I love Herman Cain. I might support him, although I wish he could have won that Senate seat a few years ago to raise his profile. Personally, I love the idea of successful business persons running for the Presidency. It is a tough route to go from an electability standpoint.
This guy (Cain) flopped pretty epically here back in 2004 when he ran for the US Senate. Couldn’t even force a run-off with Johnny Isakson.

Now you are talking about a real Conservative! A man of the people and for the people!
GO ‘HERMANATOR’!

I’ll save him a bunch of money: Don’t do it. You’re not going to win.
This is VERY exciting news! HERMAN CAIN/2012
He would get my vote...
He is now cancer-free.
He would DEFINITELY get my vote!
I really wish he had won that senate race a few years ago. He would be a formitable candidate in 2012.
Given that he has no elective experience, and that he has been doing a radio gig the last few years, it is going to be too easy for the left to make him look like a lightweight (despite the fact that he is actually a heavyweight).
Overall, I’m not seeing it, despite the fact that he is heads and shoulders over every GOP candidate that ran in 2008 (including and most especially Mr. Romney).
I know what a losser! Just like that Reagan guy who couldn’t even beat Gerald Ford.
Ping!
Over Palin?
Over Palin?
That is a badge of honor IMO. We need people in office who make their reputation by earning money - not spending it.
PING!!!
Losing a presidential primary against an incumbent is a little bit different than a Senate primary with no incumbent, don't you think?
