I believe the December 28 date is just to release the revised artwork, the stamp will be issued February 10. I doubt it will be issued indefinitely, don’t think any have been.

I just telephoned my local USPS and the lady told me that the new stamps will be ordered at the end of this month and be available in early January. Whether she was accuate or not, time will tell...
