If it was "morning in America" for President Ronald Reagan, a new commemorative postage stamp due in February to mark "the Gipper's" birth centennial will forever view the sunrise.
The new commemorative stamp, whose design was unveiled Monday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., always will be valid for a 1-ounce first-class letter, the U.S. Postal Service confirmed. It officially will be released at the library on Feb. 10, 2011, four days after the 100th anniversary of Reagan's birth.
Texas artist Bart Forbes did the portrait, based on a 1985 photograph of Reagan taken at Rancho del Cielo, near Santa Barbara, Calif.
The design was published first in Linn's Stamp News, a hobbyist publication. Earlier this year, Linn's broke the news that a Reagan Centennial postage stamp would be released.
Although the preliminary design shows a 44-cent value, the postal agency recently announced that all commemorative, or special, issues will be inscribed with "Forever," instead of a face value, meaning they would sell for the then-current first-class rate but would remain valid for first-class mail even when rates increase.
A USPS spokesman who asked not to be identified by name said a revised version showing the "Forever" inscription will be released Dec. 28.

Odd. It was there before...
I emailed the man, but he has the 0500 news, so I won’t have an answer until at least then. He’s the one that asks the trivia questions every day. Some days, I’m the only one who has the correct answer, and other days, I’m the first one with the correct answer. It’s a fun thing to do! I’ll let you know.
Thanks!
You probably have it hidden in an open tag. You can hit the back arrow to check your post.
Amazing what can disappear that way.
It's hogwash.
The Farmer's Almanac has established that there is a seven-day cycle to weather. We get stuck into cycles in which it seems to rain every weekend. We notice that.
When we get rain every Tuesday, no one cares. You have to work anyway, so what difference does it make?
Maybe the originating site has some mechanism against off-site hosting. Who knows?
I suspected as much when I first heard/read it but it seem to me that the rain on weekends was associated with slow-moving, “dry” fronts. At any rate, I could google or wiki it but it’s much more fun coming from the weatherman. He’s my Fan!
Sigh. FR seems to have slowed down. More server problems? Anyway, won’t be on much longer. My energy level is way down right now.
Nothing at all shows in Mozilla.
Explorer shows a red x.
I have no explanation, but that’s a nice kitty, anyway. Bit of a temper, maybe?
Just went in the kitchen and found both catz blasting their laser eyes under the stove. I distracted them will a bowl of food, and DP baited the mousetrap.

A few nights ago the dogs were upset about something, and wouldn’t come in.
I went out to corral them and found out why they were so excited.
Up in a spindly tree was a possum.
I made the dogs come in, and stay in.
A few hours later, the possum was gone.
OR something. Who knows what’s posting with all these errors?
The catz caught the mouse! I heard a plastic-sounding noise around 5 a.m., and when DP got downstairs a little after 6:00, Shannon and Jake were having a good time with a substantial field mouse. It wasn’t quite dead, but after he gave it to Susan ...
I think the mouse was trying to get into the trap when the catz intervened; that was the banging plastic noise. Shannon says there’s another mouse under the refrigerator, but it might just be wishful thinking.
Most likely checking to see if there are any more where that one came from.
We’ve been getting about one a week.
Must be cold outside!
It is. 32 on the weather-beeber right now, but the sun is coming up to warm poor Ash.
It’s 37 here. I don’t want to go out until the sun comes up, for sure, but I need to try and wash clothes today. I hate waiting for the door to be unlocked. :o[
