If it was "morning in America" for President Ronald Reagan, a new commemorative postage stamp due in February to mark "the Gipper's" birth centennial will forever view the sunrise.
The new commemorative stamp, whose design was unveiled Monday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., always will be valid for a 1-ounce first-class letter, the U.S. Postal Service confirmed. It officially will be released at the library on Feb. 10, 2011, four days after the 100th anniversary of Reagan's birth.
Texas artist Bart Forbes did the portrait, based on a 1985 photograph of Reagan taken at Rancho del Cielo, near Santa Barbara, Calif.
The design was published first in Linn's Stamp News, a hobbyist publication. Earlier this year, Linn's broke the news that a Reagan Centennial postage stamp would be released.
Although the preliminary design shows a 44-cent value, the postal agency recently announced that all commemorative, or special, issues will be inscribed with "Forever," instead of a face value, meaning they would sell for the then-current first-class rate but would remain valid for first-class mail even when rates increase.
A USPS spokesman who asked not to be identified by name said a revised version showing the "Forever" inscription will be released Dec. 28.

S’aright is at the above link at least once.
*feebly waving*
I think this is the big one, folks...don’t wait for me...just...carry on..
*swoon*
I’ve never seen carnivorous luggage.
So far.
The only place I’ve heard tell of such is on Discworld.
Exactly!
That's why the TRAVEL Closet is securely located here in the computer room. Them nasty 'cases would have to sneak the door open (it squeaks and sighs) and tiptoe past a truly vast array of ever-alert computing machinery (both of them when powered up, the rest are held in reserve) in order to make a nefarious escape.
Hasn't happened yet, though a few months ago I caught a malingerer hanging out way overtime in a family member's bedroom. "It's tae th' CLOSET wi' ye, ye miscreant!" *\;^)
Your TRAVEL Closet should be a closely held secret, sion. I mean, were you to loose this on the world, (accident, design or somewhere in between) the world as we know it may be radically changed.
Think of it:
Al Gore could be right;
Zero could be white;
Mrs O could be kind;
and watermelons could have no rind.
Global warming could affect us all;
And I could be very short, not tall;
Hangers could mate with single sox;
And we’d all be stuck with hangerox.
Good clean fun and humor... sometimes I miss the 60s.
I was born in the 70’s and grew up in the 80’s.
But I remember seeing reruns and hearing about the old Ed Sullivan show.
But if it's merely toddling off to bed, just say so.
I have a fluke too.
I’m puzzled by people who have closets without shoes.
I like puzzles but I usually don’t wear shoes working on them. I knew someone who kept their shoes by the front door, I haven’t looked in their closets, maybe they keep puzzles in their closet.
If you have enough people in your house, there are shoes in every closet. And catz. I like to do puzzles on the dinner table (although not during meals) rather than on the doorstep.
Arby's has a dollar menu.
It's not a lot of meat, but with a dash of horsey sauce, and a dab of ketchup, it tastes just like food.
Unlike Sionnsar's travel closet, my closet is not in the habit of traipsing around the house, or the globe.
So it doesn't need shoes.
Nah. Thanks, Bob, but I have this health problem that means I need more meat than potatoes. And ketchup is not in my current Food Pyramid.
I usually buy the $5 jobbie, add two or three packets of Horsy Sauce and discard the buns. I know...expensive way to get it, but ohsogood and it feels almost like junk food!
Yah. Like that.
I know all the dollar menus.
