I suppose I should have expected to be attacked for standing up for children. Yes, I have a soft spot for children. I never said I supported the Dream Act. I agreed with a statement of another poster. I do see criminal aliens on a daily basis. I do have problems with how the education system is hurt by the presence of children who speak little to no English. I also see children who are innocent pawns, and it is immoral. Why would I want to send good kids back to a hell hole? I no more wanted to see Elian Gonzales sent back to Cuba than I want to see other good kids sent back to the place where drug lords rule and there is seemingly no rule of law.
If having compassion for youth who are just like my own children makes me a troll, then so be it. I would have been shunned in 1860, too, in my home town.

He lived, his mother did not.
The law at the time stated that if the escapee from the workers paradise of Cuba actually made it to America, they could stay.
Clinton and Janet Reno decided to placate old Fidel and send him back.
Nevermind that he did make it to the US as the law at the time dictated.
And he had family here already.

I’m sure you are equally concerned for the American citizen children who will be robbed to pay for this travesty.
They will be paying for this all of their lives.
The children that are American citizens are the innocent pawns.
Their education is being sidestepped in favor of the children of illegal insurgent criminal invading colonists.
