Absolutely. The Cubans who came to this country legally truly adjusted to the American way of life. I say this because I lived it. My parents worked their hands to the bone during the day and went to school at night to learn the language.

Taught my two siblings and I to love America and to assimilate. We worked hard, are currently putting our kids through college with the sweat of our brow, asking for nothing from the government.

My Grandfather’s parents came here LEGALLY from Poland in the late 1800’s.... as did my Grandmother’s parents from Quebec. They played by the rules, assimilated into this country and became Americans! My Grandparents married... a Pole and a Canuck! They never took welfare and always worked hard and were law abiding. They loved this country... as do I.
