Comedian Kathy Griffin wasn’t so popular with the troops during her USO Diva’s Salute stand-up act on Sunday, when she poked fun at Bristol Palin’s weight.
“[Bristol Palin] is the only contestant in the history of ["Dancing with the Stars"] to actually gain weight.”
Following a chorus of boos, Griffin went on to say, “No, come on, come on. She gained, like, 30 pounds a week. I swear to God, it was fantastic. She’s like the white ‘Precious,’” referring to the obese African-American character in the eponymous 2009 film.
When the booing continued, Griffin shouted, “You can boo louder than that! Come on, boo me! I love it! I love it! War is Hell, war is Hell!”
This isn’t the first shot Griffin has taken at the Palin family. In 2009, Griffin made jokes about Sarah Palin’s infant Trig, who was born with Down Syndrome. Kathy Griffin justified calling Trig Palin a “retard baby” via Twitter:

Well stated, Guenevere and nutmeg! Our soldiers didn’t appreciate her low-life humor either. They spotted the stupid, mean woman for exactly what she was and is right away away. The Palin’s are patriots - this ‘comedian’ is not.
The USO should make a necessary adjustment by dropping her.
The USO was once a great Organization and probably needs to get back to that era.
Now. with the likes of this _______,the USO may stand for UGLY SKANKS for OBAMA.

I am pretty sure the photo at #21 is another “does anyone actually find this act funny?” person known as Carrot Top. The photo in #22 is Griffin. The first is a has been. Griffin is a “never was” and conclusive evidence that even beer goggles have their limit.

I think it would be nice for Bristol to give a shout out to our brave military on her FB page. She wouldn’t even have to mention the skanks name but her thoughts would be appreciated...... and understood.

Yeah, the twits even appeared on the “red carpet” thingie together. She encouraged him to do the nudie shoot and took him to strip joints. These people are beyond dispicable. I think he is something like 20 years younger than her...probably both psychologically immature...and pathologically insecure.
Maybe when Bristol was younger and more naive, she thought he was something special. I sure don’t know why. And I sure hope she is over it.

I don't know who is running the USO these days, but I sure hope they pay close attention to the troops' reaction to Griffin's "jokes" and to the deluge of e-mails (via the USO website and USO's Facebook page) re: Kathy Griffin and dump her - not pay her travel expenses to "entertain" our troops - and other scumbag America-haters immediately.
The USO is a wonderful, respectable and historic organization that serves our troops in a variety of ways, not just entertainment. Garbage like Kathy Griffin should have NO place in the USO.
