Kathy Griffin calls Bristol Palin fat at USO event, and soldiers boo her By Laura Donovan - The Daily Caller 11:06 AM 12/06/2010 ADVERTISEMENT
Comedian Kathy Griffin wasnt so popular with the troops during her USO Divas Salute stand-up act on Sunday, when she poked fun at Bristol Palins weight.
[Bristol Palin] is the only contestant in the history of ["Dancing with the Stars"] to actually gain weight.
Following a chorus of boos, Griffin went on to say, No, come on, come on. She gained, like, 30 pounds a week. I swear to God, it was fantastic. Shes like the white Precious, referring to the obese African-American character in the eponymous 2009 film.
When the booing continued, Griffin shouted, You can boo louder than that! Come on, boo me! I love it! I love it! War is Hell, war is Hell!
This isnt the first shot Griffin has taken at the Palin family. In 2009, Griffin made jokes about Sarah Palins infant Trig, who was born with Down Syndrome. Kathy Griffin justified calling Trig Palin a retard baby via Twitter:

Well come to think of it I can’t think of any either...well maybe Rita Rudner
Why are you trying to punish the USO for having a so called comedian perform who told bad jokes? They can figure out if the acts who are willing to perform for the USO should be asked back again or not, don’t you think?
That will put me off eating the rest of the day, thanks.
BUMP!
I was going to say how much I detest Griffin but you said it all.
Same here. The USO entertained my father and other family members from WWII through today's conflicts overseas. I've always loved the USO and have supported them over the years with small donations.
I'm sick of these America-haters like Griffin, Rahm Emanuel's brother's client, btw. The USO should NOT be supporting cretins like this to "entertain" our troops. Until the USO fires Kathy Griffin and others like her, there are plenty of other pro-troops, pro-America charities that I can support.
Send your comments to the USO here... I just did:
..and the irony is...Griffin and her lesbian sisters, Margaret Cho and Ellen DeGeneres would be the FIRST to accuse someone of 'bullying if the situation was turned around.
Recently in the news, Cho is 'bullying' Bristol.....and Ellen bemoans the poor innocents-(ie 'gay') who are bullied....
..yet Cathy thinks it too is OK to bully Bristol.
Their hypocrisy is unceasing!
Looking at that picture, I am not seeing any issue with her weight! Besides, IF Bristol did gain weight, I am pretty sure it was MUSCLE! She is a healthy girl who is stoutly built (like most people I know from Alaska)!!!!
That is not the bikini pic I was refering to. The pic you posted is an older shot and she looks good in it. The latest ones are nasty..her butt is drooping from loose skin. She lost her weight too fast.

Thanks for articulating the truth perfectly.
She was funny when the was busting the pretensions of Hollywood types. Now, not so much.
Kath, Bristol looks hotter fat than you do skinny.
You are very kind — to say she looks good in that pic.
When I saw her name and the USO.... what were they thinking? Kathy Griffin is disgusting to say the least.
Oh please, as the mother of a Marine, don’t stop donating to them because of this ONE person. They do so much good that goes beyond entertainment. More than once my son’s had a long layover and has been able to go to the USO in the airport. He’s gotten a shower, a meal, a bed, even a couple of paperback books he could take with him. They provide them an opportunity to call home. There’s much behind the scenes we don’t see. By supporting them you support the troops.
