A GERMAN woman tourist has been killed in the third shark attack in a week at Egypt's popular Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

Mohammed Salem, director of South Sinai Conservation, said the woman died after a shark attacked her while she was snorkelling in Naama Bay, only one day after Sharm el-Sheikh reopened its beaches following two other attacks in which Russians were mauled.

Government conservation experts said on Friday they captured two sharks, an oceanic whitetip and a mako, which they believed had mauled two Russian women swimmers last Tuesday and Wednesday.

The resort's mayor, Gamal al-Mahdi, said the beaches were reopened after authorities deemed there was no further threat off the coast, which attracts between three and four million tourists a year.

However, an Egyptian NGO warned on Saturday that at least one of the sharks thought to be behind the attacks was still at large.

I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, but with the long flight, the funnelweb spider, box jellyfish, all of those nasty poisonous snakes and crocodiles, i think i might pass on it. I’m rather unlucky. I enjoy Deutschland in August. That’s enough adventure for me. lol.

Sounds good. Getting out of one's 'box' is all it takes - and that can even be 'by book' of course; sans ticket.

Truth is, as bad as these things are - critters, et al; the reality is; if one reads what is lurking in our own back yard; it might serve as a warning. . .at least to visitors./lol
