The technologies disappeared because societies changed, died out, or collapsed for any number of reasons. In some places the old technologies are still used because they’re still useful. And in many cases the technologies still exist on modern forms using modern tools and power sources.

.............................................................................................................................Of course not for it would shake the very foundation of religious beliefs around the world resulting in utter chaos and insurection.Thats why there are still people today, even on this forum, that think the world is only 4 or 5 thousand years old, fossils were planted by god to trick people and dinosauers never existed.Just look at Mohamed and the Taliban, still living in the 7th century and will kill anyone for doubting their belief system.
