I would be impressed if engineers, using modern technology, could re-create a "simple" 4 story building like the ones at Puma Punku.It only took about 100 years for us to go from horse-drawn carriages to lasers, so perhaps that technology was discovered millenia ago, then lost for millenia.

It took less than that to go to atom bombs.Only 30 years from bi planes to jets but we still use the internal combustion engine for our primary mode of transportation for over a hundred years.

You would think the tools needed to cut the granite and diorite would have to be at least as strong and durable in order to accomplish those precision cuts, yet no tools have been found.
