Well! Just last year I came across this town and was charmed by its name, in my perpetual fantasy of moving to a remote Appalachian “holler” (sans meth labs). (I know it's not one, but I'm also interested in little places near the birth home of Sergeant York, I'd like to live near there also). I obviously didn't research enough, because I had an image of a pastoral place, beyond the back of anywhere, where nothing ever happens (which is what I'm interested in).

My nephews went to high school in Soddy Daisy, they all lived in Hixson, a couple still do.

The name may sound like an Appalachian "holler"....but Soddy-Daisy happens to be a suburb of a big town, Chattanooga.

My high school football team use to play theirs....
