Your top one corresponds to a position just south of the left-hand projection im ny last graphic. The bottom one corresponds to the right side of that same graphic-- just before it started drfting south of the photographer.
Merely a south-drifting cloud (contrail) and perspective...
Interestingly, the source of the Cargo
Law (my error calling it CargoLux) webcam still image is
not convinced that it wasn't a missile.
The KCBS reporter who shot the video and started this whole flap, says that the trail stopped for a while, then started up again, then disappeared altogether, which is also consistent with a contrail passing through different atmospheric conditions.
