John Conyers's Sons Photos

Some very interesting photos posted by Detroit Congressman John Conyer's twenty year old son on his plixi photo upload site.
I wonder how the minor son of Rep Conyers photographed himself with a bottle of Moet in a tax payer funded 2010 Cadillac Escalade while in the drivers seat with vehicle turned on? Hmmm... How did he get the key?
Conyers states he was unaware that his son was using the vehicle when it was robbed this week, but what about this past June as well when the photo below was uploaded?
U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Detroit, said he didn't know his son, John III, was driving his government-provided Cadillac Escalade last week when someone broke into it and stole two computers and $27,000 worth of concert tickets.
"I have just learned about the inappropriate use of a congressional vehicle by my son over the Thanksgiving holiday," Conyers said today in a statement. "I am sorry it happened and will make sure that it does not happen again. I will review the full circumstances of the use of this vehicle and make restitution to the Treasury for any non-official use."
Image Caption from Conyers: "Is it too early to pop a bottle?"
Image Caption from Conyers: "I Enjoy Mimosa's"
Image Caption from Conyers: "My Baby, Segura Vivdas I party with Armand De Brignac too. #OnDeck."
Isn't the drinking age 21 still in Michigan or is just Rep Conyer's family gets a pass?

I wonder if the bag of money that got Monica Conyers put in the slammer was ever in that vehicle.
That would be the tie to finally prosecute John Conyers for a crime.

Why on earth is a congressman provided with an Escalade? Do they all get one?

John Conyers III, 20, told police he had been driving the car on Nov. 24 when he left it for an hour only to return to find scratches on the side door and the interior in disarray, the website reported.

Wrong!
It’s in Park(P).
Engine is running and turning about 800 RPM.

He didn't know his wife was soliciting and taking bribes when on the Detroit city council. The justice department was nice enough to accept his word that he was in no way involved which of course had nothing to do with him being chairman of the house judiciary committee. Somehow his wife was even provided with a lawyer by the taxpayers.
Now he doesn't know that his son is unlawfully using a government owned car.
The pictures of his son with alcohol in the vehicle show another instance of him inappropriately using the car. Since the bottle isn't open, and it is possible that an adult is present, I don't think they can go after him about the alcohol itself, but they can ask him some difficult questions about who was there that was over 21 and was it someone who should have known he shouldn't be using the car?
I think there has been more than enough evidence that Conyers needs to be investigated. Maybe he's only guilty of being a fool who married a crook and who is careless with not securing a government vehicle from his son. That alone should get him kicked off of the judiciary committee.

"Where things get complicated is that the burgundy Escalade was registered to Conyers' office, and appears to be the same vehicle the U.S. government leases on Conyers' behalf for $1,251.66 a month. Members of Congress can lease almost any vehicle they choose - a few have picked out Lexus SUVs for their official whip - and often pay steep monthly bills for unlimited mileage or other unusual terms. But government rules require those vehicles to stay on official business, and provide punishments for staffers who use them off-duty."
It's funny on a Conservative website, some of the posters don't see a problem with the tax payers paying for a luxury 'evil carbon producing' SUV driven by an unauthorized minor who sports pictures of possession of alcohol.
Let Conyers buy his kid a ride, but leave us tax payers out of this.

“...$27,000 worth of concert tickets.”
WTF? Either that is a lot of tickets or the concert features Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Buddy Holly, Michael Jackson, with Elvis Presley headlining for 27 big ones.

Um...
Why does a congressman get a free luxury vehicle?
Anything suspicious about possessing $27k worth of ‘tickets’?....sounds like scalping or some other form of organised crime.

Wrong! Its in Park(P). Look at the location of the red gear indicator in Conyer's vehicle (1) in relation to the other image that shows the location of the gears (2). It is clear looking at both it is in drive.

Um. Read post 18 again. The photo in 18 is of ANOTHER Escalade. See where the red indicator is on the original photo in post 1.
But - picky nits here. Why does a congressman get such an expensive car, and why is his sone driving it?
(I’ll leave it to dad to figure out why his son is so stupid as to be taking photos of his illegal adventures).

wow - I think the big issue here is what was conyers III doing with $27,000 dollars worth of concert tickets?
Who bought them? Was it a payoff?
