Yes, the GOP could select from an array of appealing and promising fresh faces in 2012 -- Govs. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, Mitch Daniels of Indiana, Chris Christie of New Jersey and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana; and Sen. John Thune of, yes, South Dakota.
Maybe Medved, being a Jew, doesn't understand the Mormon faith or the problems that lie within it all that well; two faiths without a True Christ!
Huckabee is doing fine with his television program, and it suits him well; also he's put on weight again, signifying a lack of character, self-control, and/or health. He is avidly pro-life, however, and for that he'd get our votes. His "left-leaning" stances don't trouble as much as Mitt's inability to see that abortion is a serious matter, not something to go back and forth on. Romney seems to be a great family man, however, and for that I'll applaud him, but it starts and ends there for us anyway.
Sarah Palin, while an
extreme go-getter with an appealing personality that has already done a great deal for our country, IMO lacks the faith necessary to diffuse Obama. Christie, again, the weight issue. If he selected a very solid running mate, we'd vote for him. But the man who was listed fourth on Medved's potential candidates is the one we feel could get this country back on track, a man filled with faith and love for his family and country, and that would be Bobby Jindal. It would be an epic battle of good v. evil. A strong believing Catholic (he's not a pretender) against a man whose god could possibly even be the devil.
