WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange could be charged under the Espionage Act for making public classified U.S. government documents which he obtained illegally, a media report said here on Tuesday.

The U.S. authorities are investigating whether Mr. Assange, also Editor-in-Chief of the whistle-blower website, violated criminal laws by disclosing the classified information, ‘The Washington Post’ reported.

The FBI is examining everyone who came into possession of the documents, including those who gave the material to WikiLeaks and also the organisation itself, it said, citing those familiar with the probe.

According to the Post, charges against WikiLeaks and Mr. Assange could be filed under the Espionage Act.

But will he be extradited here and would Holder’s Justice Department prosecute him vigorously? I have my doubts.

I don’t think Holder is in any hurry to stop the guy... we’ll see.

I have a better idea...

Have a covert operative put a bullet in his head.

If they were at all serious, this would have stopped when he released Leak 1.0 (Iraq) and it would never have gotten to Leak 1.1 (Afghanistan) or Leak 1.2 (State Department)

I still say these people are complicit if not directly but in the very least not willing to do anything about it because it supports Obama (ala Soros) agenda of hitting the rest button on our foreign relations.

Have Australia decertify his passport and in such Interpol will be charged to arrest him and send hm back Down Under. Then the extradition can begin.

What we really need is for the family of some Afghan killed because of these leaks to sue for reckless endangerment. Assange might beat an espionage rap, but he’d never outrun the tort lawyers.

“Have Australia decertify his passport and in such Interpol will be charged to arrest him and send hm back Down Under. Then the extradition can begin.’

My prediction..This will all blow over, and nothing will come of it.
In today’s world, the bad guys ALWAYS win.

Never happen —

That would open the door of precedent for the darling NYT, et. al., to be indicted for activities dating back to, at least, Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers...

It’s all the usual characters connected here. Why would obama want to stop his buddy Soros? They both desire the same end for the U.S.

What would Russia or China do to a guy like this. Or for that matter, any traitors which would leak information to such a person.

Assange has more than U.S. data... He has discoverable connections to powerful supporters that cannot be allowed to be proven in court. Therefore I'd say he never makes it to a court of law.

Soros (crime inc) will most likely deal with him.

He should be afraid...very afraid....once he has dumped all the data his handlers want dumped.

So if you don’t like Australia and get a hold of some of its classified information and release it, Australia could have you, a US citizen, arrested at your house, sent to Australia, and tried for espionage against Australia? Did you sign any secrecy agreement with Australia? Did you swear any oath to defend Australia’s secrets under penalty of imprisonment or death? I’m not defending Assange or think he’s right, but be careful what you wish for.

I wonder if one day we will find out that Ol Spooly Dude was in fact behind this?

Besides that, I am not believing that an Army PFC did all this on his lonesome, the military files yes but the State Depatment no. I can see Hillary’s hand in this though, that bitch is capable of anything,

Apparently some of the information released revealed Hillary is digging dirt on people for blackmail. As screwy as everything is, she probably wanted that information out.

Hillary was probably planning to blackmail Obummer into retirement. Oh well - there goes that plan!
