IIRC- Barry talked about that trip in one of his books.

He also said that his ‘rrommate’ in Columbia in New York- where he lived off campus—was a Pakistani drug dealer.

Actually he was around 20, and this newspaper article leads me to believe it.

When Fox did their specials on the candidates for the presidency before the election, they reported it and actually found the critter he went with. It was a Bret Baier special report.

Then perhaps I have some more reading to do.

I have always been quite skeptical of BHO’s claim that he went to Pakistan in the 80’s. I have been under the impression that this event wasn’t in his books (which I have never read), and had never been mentioned before he brought it up during the Presidential race.

My take was that he simply made it up as a desperate attempt to try and provide some kind of thin veneer of foreign policy experience.
