North Korea said on Friday that impending military exercises by the South and the United States are pushing the region towards war, days after it launched its heaviest bombardment since the 1950-53 Korean War.

In other news, chia pets are rising on early trading. Is it no wonder that Mahmood and Jung-Il are trading notes on how stupid can we look while the whacko-world and media takes us seriously?
Someone let the N’orcs know that with this President, they could nuke Seoul and there would be a “measured” response.
Imagine this latest Kim heir and next Dear Leader, a 27 yr old sociopath, stamping his tiny foot and demanding his way with an arsenal of nukes up his sleeve
welcome to the “multipolar” world, so longed for by globalists like Madeline Albright et al
And what does our very own dear leader and the messiah of the world have up his sleeve? A recap of his campaign rhetoric:
quote:” President Barack Obama’s proposed comprehensive diplomacy that combines the strengths of multilateral negotiations with the unique benefits of direct bilateral engagement presents a sensible and practical approach to the North Korean nuclear issue. The change in administration in the United States provides a rare opportunity to provide a fresh impetus to the denuclearization process. It is up to Washington and Pyongyang, in close cooperation with the other capitals, to seize upon this opportunity to proactively engage in negotiations that can successfully overcome not only the immediate obstacles but also the longer-term challenges posed by the North Korean nuclear weapons program.” end quote

...... hack hack hack (pardon.....hairball)
Did Obama feed them this spin?
“Someone let the Norcs know that with this President, they could nuke Seoul and there would be a measured response”?
Someone let the Norcs know that with this President, they could nuke Los Angeles and there would be a measured response.
I think my response is more true/
If food shortages are as prominent as reported by the MSM in North Korea, may-be Kim wants to thin out part of the populace?
I wonder when, or if, China is going to yank the dog collar on Pyongyang. China has turned a blind eye to Jong-Il’s antics for decades, for the reasons laid out in the story. But I have to think if either the Chia Pet or his heir begin large scale mobilization, Beijing will lean on them. I gotta think the last thing China wants is a war on its back doorstep involving a nuke-armed neighbor and the superpower that owes them several trillion dollars.
Of course, if things go far enough south on the Korean peninsula, it may not matter...
Just how do you start a war these days? In the past sinking a frigate or shelling a city would have kicked off a war. Hell Lincoln started a war that killed 600,000 over a rock being shelled in Charleston Harbor that killed no one. Makes no sense.
They already know.
They can smell the weakness from the other side of the world.
They are shaking with glee and anticipation.
South Korea must not feel too secure knowing that Obummer is watching out for them...
I get the distinct feeling that the Koreans look to support from the Whitehouse and sigh saying: "...oh crap..."
“If food shortages are as prominent as reported by the MSM in North Korea, may-be Kim wants to thin out part of the populace?”
Food shortages tend to do that without any other interventions.

We’re the biggest debtor nation on Earth. A nation of children with credit cards. A nation that large portions of resemble a Third World nation. A nation with second rate infrastructure, a second rate educational system, a corrupt political system and corrupt financial markets. The only reason anyone has to take us seriously is because we have nuclear weapons.
To tell you the truth I think Obama would welcome a war with North Korea just to change the take the spotlight off of his administration & the hope of gaining political momentum as a “manager” of the situation.
The 27 yr old toddler in an adult body is just playing with his toys.
What are a few hundred thousand dead people to him.
He doesn’t even have a reason except that he is bored
no ‘response’ necessary, measured or otherwise, as Seoul prolly has sufficient population to *absorb* the hit for the greater good of korea in general...
A drone attack on the chia pets and the general staff could end this very quick. If anything, geopolitically, a strike on nork leadership will leave the country paralyzed. China will have to Make a move and they aren’t going to attack the south.
This would be a game changer. And a positive one.
Do not anticipate China's response on any Western models of wartime diplomacy. We are still "at war" with a North Korea that had overwhelming military support from its staunch ally of the 1950's. I disagree with some of the "expert" sentiments that proclaim China's reticence in seeing a united Korea; China would welcome a vassal economic powerhouse that was governed by a communist puppet.
The U.S. could not stop a massive North Korea push into the South, would not use nuclear deterrence, and cannot get supporting troops in the country in time to stop a complete takeover. All China has to do is drop the starter's flag...
Maybe so, but I have to feel real sorry for whatever group attacks us again here.
If it is the usual group of Dutch Protestants than I’m glad I’m not one of them.
