Palin would be one of the best things to happen to the US. She would clean up the corruption in DC, restore our liberties, and not try to control every fricking little aspect of our life.

Because the American people chose a man with a clear Marxist racist background based on a slogan, I do not believe America deserves a President Palin. It deserve what it has: a “liberal” president who now forms a SA (TSA) group to violate their persons; a first lady who is telling us what to eat; an economy where you MUST join a union to get a job. America must face a harsh reality for its foolishness, and for tolerating Marxists for the past 100 years.

Odd, isn't it? Obama was supposed to be the one to bring all Americans together, and yet it may very well be Sarah who does that if she runs.

Not only will she have the Tea Partiers and Independents behind her, but Obama and the entire Left will support her candidacy too.

OK, so I have heard this tripe a few times now. The election will not be about who is more experienced. A ridiculous argument when you consider Palin's resume against Obama. The election will be about Conservatism versus socialism, as it should be.

Palin has been to date the most effective counter to the rabid swing left under Obama. Her communication skills in framing the argument and making it so simple that even a Washington intellectual might understand it, will be the difference. NOBODY else currently on the GOP radar has shown that they have this ability. But that is what primary season will be all about.

I myself, agree with about 90% of this - I also feel she is not ready (clearly, neither was Obama, but that does not mean we can go ahead and make that same mistake....by putting our own candidate in, that isn't ready).

Palin will serve the Country better by being a asset from outside of Washington.

Despite the source, I was willing to read the article to determine if he was truly stating his professional opinion, or was simply trying to manipulate things. I was open-minded until the line above. ANYBODY of McKinnon's stature knows that Sarah Palin CANNOT be on anybody's short VP list.

1. She's been there, that hasn't been done before (or if it has, it is the answer to a trivia question.)

2. The VP is normally a spot where you DON'T want a candidate with high negatives, especially if you think you already have the lead without the pick. The Dems have a history of focusing on VP negatives. When Palin was picked, it was part crap shoot by McCain because he was behind, and part that she wasn't controversial at the time, and it might be hard for Obama/Biden to beat up on a girl in the ordinary way. She was considered conservative, but neither fringe nor controversial until the media got through with her.

3. Most presidential candidates don't want a VP who will get more attention than the top of the bill. This isn't just ego, it's good politics. Even a low key guy like Cheney caused some problems for Bush the Younger in that regard.

If McKinnon were just a Hollywood type, I could see such a mistake in judgement made and written. As a high level consultant, he is being 100% disingenuous.

Of course, that's the overwhelming reason for her high unfavorables -- perhaps at a level of 95% causality. But it's as inevitable as is tomorrow's sunrise. All the King's horses and all the King's men aren't going to change this unfortunate reality.

The good old boys club. The “establishment” ruling class isn’t very fond of Sarah Palin. She makes them and their accountants very nervous. She’s too “anti-establishment” for them. They are more comfortable with the status quo.

This joker doesn't have a clue. I've watched Palin since early 90's; talked to her every month or so when we lived in the MatSu. Paid attention to how effective she was as Governor; she did more than any gov I've ever seen up here.

Nobody looks at her record. I saw her cut wasteful spending and yet increase funding for Dem issues when they cost efficient and served the people. I remember when she funded Denali Kid Care that provided health care for all kids 18 & under that had none. She said oil prices are high, we have the extra money, it's the right thing to do. The Repubs went nuts, she said screw them and did it. I could tell ya more similar stories too.

Palin is the only political I'd trust, she has a record you know; which the media refuses to acknowledge. America will luv her like Reagen if she wins.

I also know that Palin would not run if it ensured a dem pres would be in another 4 years.

Honestly, I think it's going to get so bad over the next 2 years; anybody will beat Obama. Then Palin will save our Nation.

I am coming to the realization that Sarah Palin is going to use these attacks from the “blue bloods” to her advantage. Sarah is the living example of someone who has put on the “full armor of God”, and neither the real progressives nor the progressive-lite blue bloods understand what that means.
