The last I flew was six weeks ago to San Diego and I’m scheduled to fly in two weeks. I have a big project starting the first of the year which will cause me flying at least two weeks a month.
I got an artificial hip last year and I purposely have been avoiding flying even before this increased screening as I thought it was a PITA anyway. I don’t know how I’m going to handle this new procedure.
Maybe you will see me in the news!
I think that the TSA employees know there is a spotlight on them. I would tell them in advance that there is metal in your body though. Matter of fact, it might be an idea to look at their website and see if there is someone to ask before you walk through their scanners.
If you wanted to be really careful, I would see if a friend or relative would record your walk through. Might be useful later. :)
