With only half of that he would be about 6 points lower, so at 33% approval. But let's flip the script and say Obama's approval rating amongst blacks is the same as George Bush's was. That would put it at about 12%, meaning Obama's approval rating would drop 11 or 12 points. Can you imagine the media reporting that Obama has dropped to 27 or 28% approval? What that also illustrates is just how much a cushion Democrats always have in such matters. When a Republican is popular, you know he is REALLY popular. When a Democrat is unpopular, even if it's in the mid 40's, you know he is becoming QUITE unpopular. Interesting stuff to ponder.
