I found a good site, Seoul traffic reports. If things escalate, expect plenty of traffic heading South. Looks normal for a big city at this time;

What the buzz coming out of Japan right now because of this?
This is the policy of pushing NLL to the South. SK is on their side. NK periodically did their own artillery exercise on their side of NLL only a few miles from SK Islands.
It is not the island that was just the focus of the retaliation - the waters around the island have been in dispute since the ceasefire agreement which NK has told the world is now no longer in effect.
So holding naval exercises in disputed waters where an SK boat has already been sunk for exactly the same reason that those waters are in dispute was bound to cause a retaliation - it is not rocket science
Unfortunately, with our current administration, he could nuke Los Angeles and receive nothing more than a stern letter
It’s a Japanese holiday today, that might slow down the official response.
Update:
Suh Jung-woo, Lance Corporal , ROK Marine
Moon Kwang-wook, Private, ROK Marine
Didn't know that, was wondering why no reaction yet.

Does sound a little tough for you. According to you, the waters around the island are in dispute, which gave the North the justification they needed to sink the South's boat, and any further South presence in this area is more justification for "response" from the North? If a valid argument, wouldn't just the very presence of South citizens on this island represent a provocation to the North? Would the South be justified in patrolling this area to protect its citizens from Northern attack or do you see this patrolling as further provocation as the South has no legal grounds on which to stand in order to protect its citizens on this island?

ROK military casualty update:
2 KIA
6 seriously wounded
10 in fair condition
What is your guys gut feeling on this? The ROK and NORKs going to get this under control or does this just escalate from here.
It is not official, but I would imagine if it escalates any further, the US Forces Japan (Army Navy, AirForce, Marines) throughout the Kanto Plain and elsewhere will go on highest alert, but not to the most serious Defcon. Depends if DPRK wants to push this thing tonight or not. Japanese P.M. Ka clearly condemned it tonight, but in rather milquetoast terms in my opinion (that’s why I’m not a Prime Minister I guess!!!)
Don’t know for sure. However, the indication so far is that SK Pres would fold.
US sats will tell what kind of movement we have of KPA in other areas in the vicinity; should know by latter in the evening or early a.m. if DPRK planning for something bigger. Might just be kicking sand and testing Obama at this point. My take from Tokyo.
TANKS a bunch for the news/updates,,,
This seems to me to be a “poke in the eye”,,,
I do have to wonder who is in charge...
I thought you would pop-up...;0)
yep. I’m sure maquiladora will make an appearance for this as well.
