'Dancing With the Stars' Finale with Bristol Palin Mon 8pm Tues-9 Live Thread! VOTE 800-868-3407
WJRT-TV ^ | 11/22/10

Tonight is the final chance for the three remaining contestants on "Dancing With the Stars" to impress the viewers at home.

As we've seen this season in particular, high scores from the judges may be nice. But, it's the viewers who matter because their votes can make an impact.

Going into tonight's season finale are Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey & Bristol Palin.

Getting to this point wasn't always a smooth trip. There were some tense moments at the production office for "Dancing With the Stars."

ABC says a white powder in an envelope was delivered to the office this past Friday. It turned out to be talcum powder.

But, before they knew that, hazardous materials officials with the city of Los Angeles, fire department, police and FBI arrived at the studio lot where the ABC show airs.

This comes just days after the shock that viewers have put low-scorer Bristol Palin in the finals of "Dancing With the Stars," while voting off Brandy, who's had some of the highest scores from the judges.

Watch tonight's show at 8 p.m. and the results show Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.

I notice Jamie Lee Curtis in the audience in the first show rooting for Jennifer. What’s her connection to Grey?

Just watch, Jennifer wins, not a peep from the left about how the show is racist because Kyle did not win

Bristol handled it much better than Brandy. No tears. Very classy. I’m proud of her and she should be very happy with how far she came. No regrets.

Did you see Jennifer’s big sigh of relief?

Go Kyle!!!

You’re right! I forgot about that.
Everyone else gave their dancer a 10, but not that Osbourne witch.

That’s the first and last time I’ll tune in to that show!

lol. This IS the first time I've ever tuned into the show.
But I follow the FR threads and figured I would catch the final.

Now back to NCIS and knitting!

It would be truly amazing if Kyle wins. Jennifer thinks she has it won.

I’m at the point I want Kyle to win. Jennifer, with her background, is expected to win.

Third place for Bristol is a fair result and the greatest accomplishment of the season along with Kyle.

3rd place = Bristol

I bet that not one single conservative will shoot their television, send white powder to anyone at ABC, or make death threats against whomever the winner may be.

We'll all be proud of Bristol's amazing accomplishments on this show; happy that it might have enhanced her confidence and given her some new opportunities in life. I'm sure it made her tougher and stronger.

I’m not surprised. The percentages from the judges were (118, 110, 104) = 35%, 33%, 31%.

So, for example, if there were 100 million call-in votes, Palin would have needed 35 million votes, while Kyle would need 33 million, and Jennifer 31 million, to end up tied.

The way the voting is done, it would probably be hard to beat the other two candidates by 2 or 4 million. Easier to NOT be last when there are 4 or more people splitting the vote.
