I don't have any time hacks from cBS, so I don't know what time that frame was made. My estimate is different from yours, I see it as very late in the timeframe.

(As I said earlier, my #21 & # 34 on my "RAW VIDEO" thread show how I use that "forked" cloud as a temporal benchmark.)

1) The contrail has extended well beyond my "forked index cloud", which is now right on the (shadow) horizon.

2) Even though the copter is well south of Warren's apartment, the contrail has drifted far enough south that it has the "leftward lean" typical of views of it from the north. (Clear indication that it is headed East, of course.)

3) The A/C has long since stopped producing persistent contrail; it should be in the vicinity of Catalina -- or, even, approaching "feet dry"...

I think we will have better luck with other means of triangulation.

Just the fact that the contrail appears to "lean over to the left" as it drifts southward is adequate evidence of an east-bound flight.

Wonder if any of the folks in the "genius squad" in the "missile camp" can explain that one away..

I see what you're saying and I think you're right. I bit off on the relative "shortness" of the contrail and assumed it must have been early in the sequence. But the picture below is taken after the helicopter has continued further inland, and it shows the aircraft has already stopped conning due to its descent.

I plotted the Lat/Long of UPS902 at 5:16 and drew a line from that position to the Cargo Law LAX camera. It lines up perfectly with the view from the Cargo Law photos. Now if I could just figure out how to post a Google image on FR I could share it.
