I wrote that young children can be homicidal maniacs, too. That’s all. And it is true.
ANYONE can be a homicidal maniac. Even you. Even the pilot. What are we going to do to guarantee 100% safety? Cancel all flights because the pilot may go nuts? I submit there is greater likelyhood that the pilot will suffer a breakdown -- induced by the TSA mouth-breathers groping him -- than some child having a supposed ceramic knife planted on him.
And you have yet to counter the fact that in First Class we are given steel knives at dinner. Where is the sanity in that? Why strip search/nudie pic/grope people for a supposed ceramic knife when a steel knife is issued to First Class passengers. This blows to pieces your whole “safety” argument.
And major metropolitan subway systems do not suffer from this insane assault on our rights. We don't make every passenger in the DC Metro get strip-searched/groped before boarding the Red Line in the morning. Why not? Subways have been attacked before (Spain, UK, and most recently, a plan to attack the Metro in DC). So, where are the scanners and groping? More people could die during rush hour in the morning than on a single flight, but yet we do nothing in pursuit of “safety.”
My gawd, don't you see the insanity of it all?
