“Once a person submits to the screening process,...” went UNDEFINED. Is just buying a ticket “submitting”?

When do tyrants ever say “Oh sorry, I didn’t really mean it. Just forget the whole thing, OK?” They never do. That silver backed gorilla Janet Napolitano sees this as a challenge to her authority, and that won’t be tolerated. Congress needs to drag her fat, ugly ass down for hearings every single day (maybe with enhanced pat downs and x-rays) until she’s hounded out of office, just as Alberto Gonzales was. We know how to do it now. I will be writing my congressman about this.

Its not about security. Feeling us up won’t prevent the bad guys from blowing us up. There can and should be a limit to what the TSA can do to our persons!

I will ask my contact for clarification but my understanding is that it means once you are actually in the process of being screened.

The fine didn’t orginate just yesterday. It’s been in place a long time, nobody ever enforced it before. We shall see if they actually do now.

OBEY.
We would all be sooo much safer if we wore hospital gowns, slippers and were handcuffed to our seats for the duration of the flight. If it saves just one life.... /s (obviously).

*** Wasn’t it the liberals who were raising hell about having their “rights trampled” when Bush instituted “Homeland Security”? ***
Yeah, remember how they called the data scans on international phone traffic “wiretapping”? But full body scans? There’s nothing to see here, move along.

"That part actually makes a little sense. If someone gets part way thru screening & then decides to flee the scene, I think that merits a bit of investigating." How's is that fair to the aspiring terrorists?

This is what is coming next. refusal of a search and having no papers will result in execution. Think I'm crazy? It happened before

This whole 0bama TSA effort will just diminish the respect for Law Enforcement that the majority of Americans have for all policemen.

How right you are. From the WSJ Opinion Journal
When Rights Get Squeezed
......."A senior Homeland Security official (who would not allow his name to be used) told CNN this week that
"the mood at DHS and TSA is anger." The official griped to CNN that the real outrage was how TSA agents were being treated. In San Diego, one such agent "was accosted and verbally abused by a member of the traveling public," said the official. "The fact that some in the media would hail the traveler as some kind of folk hero is shameful.""...........

An excellent question. Once in the line to board, they can claim that you have given your acquiescence to their procedures, I would suppose.
To: OldDeckHand
IMO, if someone had an explosive, what would stop him from leaving the screening area & coming right back into the airport to blow up the lobby instead of the plane?
If we were actually screening potential terrorists, the rule would make pretty good sense.

If the American people don’t stand up to BO’s regime, his thugs will crush every ounce of liberty and dignity out of us. Call your local Sheriff, DA and Police Chief and demand that these BO’s TSA goons be arrested for assault. Don’t submit your Family to BO’s perversion.
