Would The Donald trump Palin in 2012?
Toronto Star ^ | 11/18/10 | Mitch Potter

WASHINGTON—Question: If Donald Trump replaces Barack Obama as the next president of the United States, does the thing on the top of his head replace Bo, the White House dog?

Okay, silly question. But only slightly more so than others raised Thursday after the bilious billionaire and star of reality TV contest The Apprentice floated the trial balloon, hinting that he would “easily” be willing to blow more than $200 million of his fortune on a contemplated quest for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.

Proclaiming himself a “serious” maybe — he intends to decide one way or another by June — Trump said he respects potential rival Sarah Palin, but would nevertheless be willing to challenge the former Alaska governor for the White House.

“I would take her on. I like her, but I’d take her on,” Trump told Good Morning America.

Trump struck a provocatively populist tone, telling anchor George Stephanopoulos one of his first actions as president would be to fire China as a trade destination.

“The respect for this country is just not there,” he said. “I have many people from China that I do business with, they laugh at us. They feel we’re fools. And almost being led by fools.”

Bloomers is so busy fighting the Salt, Transfat, and Smoking Wars that he hasn’t noticed the violent crime and depredation that Rudy cleaned up is making a big comeback.

I appreciate some of Trumps opinions. If he found religion and joined conservatives loudly and proudly, then I would welcome him to the effort, but not as a POTUS candidate. I think he would dilute much needed independent votes, and possibly some misguided republican votes as well.

To me it is getting “easy” in regards to Palin. Forget what she looks like, forget she’s a woman, forget her daughter is on dancing with the stars ... forget all of that. Forget who Trump is and all about him. Now make a list of the things that “government-wise” are important to you. Do you know how Sarah would vote? You Betcha’ !!! Do you know how The Donald would vote, or the Mitt? Nope, Not sure are you. I’m going to vote for someone who will VOTE the way I believe. NOBODY yet comes close to giving me the confidence they will vote as I would want them to ... except Sarah. And for those who are not Palin fans ... who would you vote for Sarah or Zero? Hell yes she could beat him.

If Donald entered the race... it would be with the sole intention of torpedoing Palin.

Should she run, she will make history. Period. Who wouldn’t take their chance to write a permanent chapter in American History?

I’m for Sarah in 2012 but he makes a couple great points here about China that I wouldn’t mind seeing Palin echo.

I like him on the Chicoms

And he has a history with bankruptcy. The next president might need that.

But with that said the tagline still stands

Trump has a few good ideas as does the Paul father/son team. But, we need a staunch Reagan Conservative and they don't make a pimple on the butt of that scenario.
