Unemployment Insurance (UI) taxes are paid by employers, not employees, so you haven’t “contributed” to it at all

No offense, but a get a clue before posting. In 3 states (AK, NJ and PA), taxes are taken from every employees paycheck for UI.

Wow! 3 out of 50? How wrong can I be? LOL BTW, I worked at the state employment service (”unemployment office”) from 1988 to 2000 helping veterans and welfare clients. I never worked in UI itself, but osmosis is what it is. Every state that I knew of, the employers paid the UI taxes, solely.
